    Contact Home Mac Apps Submerge iSubtitle RoadMovie Playr Little Audio App VideoTag Submarine Week Radio iPhone and iPad Apps Support Contact How to localize iSubtitle You only need a Text Editor to localize iSubtitle It s really really simple Start by showing the contents of the iSubtitle application bundle Ctlr click on the icon to reveal the contextual menu Navigate to Content Resources and duplicate the English lproj folder Name the new folder using a ISO 639 1 or ISO 639 2 language code You can find more info about this here And all the available codes here In this sample we are starting with a German Deutsch localization and we call the folder de lproj Remove all files that doesn t have the suffix strings and you are ready to go Now just open any text editor of your choice and start translating all the string to the right of the keyword Like this If you set the language to Deutsch in this case you can easily check your progress Just launch iSubtitle again and you will see the strings you translated When everything is done you just zip the folder with all the translated files and send them

    will help you find subtitle files in a snap It will use the metadata title to search and when you have found a proper file it will download unarchive and add it to your movie automagically In this example we are looking for subtitles in Swedish for a Dexter episode RoadMovie will pre fill the search fields and do a search for you When we have found the subtitle file in the desired language we just click the download button and let RoadMovie handle the rest When the file has downloaded and unarchived RoadMovie will ask you if you want to add it to the movie Go ahead and click yes and you now have a Swedish subtitle track for your Dexter episode Easy as pie You can easily add additional subtitle search sites under Preferences If you already had a subtitle file files that was located in the same folder as the source file there s a fair chance that RoadMovie already found it for you If not just click the button and navigate to your subtitle file This is what it might look like RoadMovie found 3 subtitle files in the source file s folder and added them automatically It also guessed the language from the subtitle files name You can easily change the language from the popups Now it s time to preview the movie and see if everything is in sync Preview Just hover the preview image and hit the play button You can now see the movie with subtitles and you can swap between the available languages in real time Neat isn t it Sync subtitles If you find that the subtitles are out of sync you can move them backwards or forwards in time Just toggle the Sync subtitles tool Now move the subtitles

    is easy Just navigate to the Metadata pane using the main toolbar RoadMovie will use your source file name to find metadata from TMDb When you go to the Metadata pane RoadMovie has probably already filled in everything you need automagically Isn t that nice All the fields are editable so if somethings wrong you can easily change it There s also a possibility that there are multiple entries found for your movie You can select the one the fits best from the popup in the title field Searching for another title If the automatic metadata fetching didn t find anything useful you can easily search for new metadata Just edit the title field and hit the Reload button to search metadata for that particular title The Metadata Inspector If you need to work more closely with your metadata you can launch the Metadata Inspector to get a better view of all the fields Video kind You have 3 options each will affect where the movie ends up in iTunes or on your portable device There s Movie TV Show and Music Video Select the proper one from the popup if not already selected If you select Movie your file will be found under the Movies section in your iTunes Library TV Show will sort under TV Shows and Music Video ends up in Music Content Rating You can specify a content rating for the movie This will affect if the movie will be playable on a device with parental controls enabled This is the same system that is used in iTunes for movies you rent or buy Depending on the country you have selected in Preferences Metadata you will be presented with a couple of content rating choices for that particular country Artwork Just drag and drop any image
